Below I am going to give you some examples of the flooring that I think is a winner. Now I know that not everyone will like my opinions, that’s fine that’s what makes us different. But if you like flooring that is a bit different and that maybe is patterned or have colour then please read on as I give you an example of each of the floorings that we sell at LKL and my favourites.
VINYL
Vinyl flooring comes in a wide variety of colours and styles, from planks to tile-like effects, concrete effects, and more. I usually use vinyl in my kitchen or bathroom.
The Baroque Vinyl is a great option for a vinyl floor. It has a pattern, can be used in smaller or larger areas, and even though the pattern is busy, you can choose a colour scheme that matches one or more of the colours.

It has a nice, elegant look, I think the pattern makes it look more expensive than it actually is.
CARPET
When it comes to carpets, I’ve got two top picks. The first one is a patterned one, and the second one has a subtle pattern, but it’ll make sense as I explain.
The first patterned carpet I love is this one from Fells Carpets. It’s a beautiful floral pattern on a creamy background. I think it’s super elegant. It’s like an Axminster carpet, but way cheaper. I think it would look amazing in the right place. It used to be that patterned carpets were only seen in older people’s homes, but now more and more people are choosing them.

With French-style furniture and maybe a vanity for your bedroom, it gives off Bridgerton vibes. On a stairs it would be wonderful as patterned carpets tend to not show any wear on the treads, and in a lounge or dining room I can see this carpet taking centre stage. The pattern isn’t too busy, so that it overpowers the space.
I found this really cool carpet that’s not patterned but has a natural look. I think it would make a great stair runner. Lately, we’ve done stair runners with this carpet and a black trim at LKL, but I love colour, so I also think it would look really good with a binding tape and a pop of colour along the sides.

It might not be the best choice if you have pets with claws because it has a loop pile. If a pet’s claw gets caught in the loop, they could hurt themselves and even damage the carpet. But hey, it’s your choice!
LVT
My favourite LVT has to be the herringbone, I think it looks classy and with it being a very very durable flooring, I think that it warrants the price of it. So here at LKL the fitters do charge more to fit a herringbone LVT, simply because it takes longer. It is a time-consuming job and has intricate cuts, every board has to line up. But once its finished, I think that it looks beautiful.

LAMINATE.
Laminate flooring is my go-to choice. I love it! It’s easy to maintain, looks great, and I remember when laminate first came out. It’s come a long way since then. Here are my two top picks for laminate flooring.
My first choice is this Quickstep Arte laminate. It’s stunning! The pattern reminds me of a grand estate, and it could work in a hallway (as shown) or a bedroom, lounge, or even on stairs! It just looks gorgeous. The pattern also lets you go simple on the walls or go wild with colour and patterns.

My second choice is a new tile-effect laminate we just got. It’s so pretty! I can see it in a kitchen or hallway and making a big statement. It has a worn look to it, and I think it would look amazing with light, bright walls.
