As we bid farewell to 2025, the carpet trade is buzzing with excitement, eagerly anticipating the flooring trends that will shape the future.
Here I will run down, the most anticipated 2026 flooring trends.
Laminate and LVT
Laminate and LVT will be making its shift away from cool grey colours, and adopting more inviting tones. Think warm naturals such as honey colours, chocolate tones and light oak finishes.
The aim is to make your space more inviting, and less clinical.
This quickstep laminate is the perfect example. It has warm tones, and as it is not only hard wearing it is water resistant too.

Patterned Flooring
Patterned flooring is set to be a big hitter this year. In 2025 we saw a rise in people choosing a herringbone and chevron design for their flooring. This year is no different, these are set to be bang on trend. Again, taking in the warmer tones, making your home feel like a natural sanctuary.

Durable Flooring
In the past two years, we’ve noticed a shift towards quality flooring, and it looks like this trend is going to continue. People are looking for more durable options like LVT, and I think that’s a great choice. is due to the easy maintenance, how hardwearing it is, and the fact that it has such a long-life span. Those factors alone make it an exceptional flooring to have in any room of the household.
This LVT below is going to be a game-changer. With its stunning colour bank, impressive design, and super durability, it’s sure to impress.

Stair Runners
This year the main focus is on stair runners, people are looking to run the warmer colours through their homes, adopt a durable flooring on the staircase whilst keeping up with the earthy pallets. The stair runner ticks all those boxes when done in robust carpets and muted tapes, like the one below.
This takes into account all of the trends that are expected.
Below is an example that we make and can be bought HERE. It is bringing the affordability into the equation too.

Carpet Colours
Carpet colours are catching up with laminate and LVT, and they are leaning towards earthy tones. They will also be shorter pile and way more durable than their saxony counterparts. Now I don’t presume that this will be a trend for everyone as everyone has their own taste. Just make sure your achieving the finish you want.
So that’s it, that’s the run down on the top trends for 2026. We will see next year if they were correct.
