A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US.

At LKL, we’ve been in the carpet business for over 50 years now, and we’ve seen it all—from the days when people covered their floors with square carpets in the middle of their room to keep heat in. To the modern era of laminate and luxury vinyl tiles.

We have been selling and fitting all types of flooring in the North East of Englands Peterlee, and surrounding areas for the duration of our business’ life span.

A few years ago we purchased our very first industrial sewing machine, so that we could make stair runners with a bound edge, and also edge pieces of carpet that customers had left from their fitting to make mats and rugs, save the waste carpet going to landfill.

Then in 2025, we took the plunge to buy our taping machine for stair runners and from the popularity of those, we decided to sell them online.

Its not easy being a small business these days, and we do hope that in whatever capacity you would always look to support a small business, if you do decide to shop with us, WELCOME you have just become an honorary member of the family.
